public relations? You probably mean SEO , that will help promote your site.

traditional pr is unsuitable for micro business
what you need is a lowest cost lead generation option
this means direct marketing
contacting journos isn't gonna do the job for you
we did it with our SN shop and it didn't work...neither did PR work for any other SNs in clocking a critical mass
