    Property Advertising Contract

    Hi,

I am looking for advice about a contract for advertising Property.

I would like to offer my clients that are not already contracted to an estate agent, a contract which means I will recieve a percentage of the sale of their property within a fixed time period.

Would I need a lawyer to come up with such a contract? If so any idea on price?

    Any thoughts would be nice!

I would consult an attorney to protect yourself. It doesn't have to be a lengthy agreement, but you should make sure all the necessary verbage is there.

On a side note, it may be tough to get people to cough up any percentage of the sales price for advertising alone. Examine your competition (there's a lot of it) and make sure you are in line with their prices. A flat fee may sell better than a percentage (because when people think % they think full-service real estate brokerage.)
