    Price quote

I got price quote from a manufacturer but I don't understand the abbreviation.

What does 50/10 or 50/10/10/10 mean?

normally, 2/10 or 5/30 are trade credit terms which encourage prompt payments

they mean that you get a 2% discount if you pay the bill within 10 days

your term might mean a 10% discount if payment made within 50 days

also, in tech development, terms like 30/20/50 are risk transfer terms

they mean that you pay 30% of the fee up front, 20% on beta delivery and 50% at v1.0. delivery
