Question Please help me with legalities?

    Hello again,

Well, I am planning to, in the near future, set up a new ecommerce store selling jewellery and accessories aimed at the teenage market. Being only 16 myself, I have no real idea as to what the legalities of this are though.
I have read that you have to apply for something within the first 3 months of selling? But then another post recently said that the rules have changed and you have to apply immediately?

I'm not too sure what I'd have to apply for and when I'd need to do it by so any help on this would be greatly appreciated! I'm also unsure about VAT-registering?

I live in the UK midlands and the web store would obviously start on a small scale. Don't know if any of this makes a difference but that's the basic background information if you need it.

Thankyou for any help on this matter,
    Samantha
