    Over Clocking Computers... (Please help)

Me and my partner are going to be building computers...now what we are stuck on...is the over clocking....

We have used an i7 930 proccesor running at 2.8 GHz. It is now over clocked at 3.6 GHz.

It's running smooth and everything..the price of the i7-930 with 2.8 GHz was only $294.00

Now how much is the CPU worth?

Can any one give us a formula to calculate how much we can charge for over clocking on say each clock speed? Like for instance...what is a formula we can use to charge for over clocking?

2.8-3.2...how much would that cost? or 2.8-2.9...how much? If any one has a good formula for determining how much to charge per over clock that would be great.

i hope i worded this correct.

    Thanks in advance

    -Jon

Lol, the CPU isn't worth any more overclocked than it is normally. You can charge a $30 overclock fee or something.. but I find that kind of pointless. If you want a competitive edge, overclock it for free. I overclocked my i7 to 3.7GHz, but it's liquid cooled, etc, so it's actually more stable right now than it is out of the box. My temps are 30c's on all 4 cores. Are you air cooling yours? What are the temps?

liquid cooling...temps are showing up at 31c which is pretty good...but i was just wondering if we should charge for over clocking and how to determine how much...from what i see on some websites...

    they do:

    10% over clock: 20 bucks
    20% over clock: 50 bucks
    30% over clock: 100 bucks

    is that a good idea??
