    Question New scissors product

I have a fantastic new pair of scissors with a leveling device embedded in the blade to assist in keeping scissors straight. All manufacturing and packaging completed but I cna't make any headway with any of the stores out there to market and sell my product.

    Any ideas?

Which sort of stores have you tried?

You should try selling it to specialised stationary shops as well as the supermarket type 'all-in-one' retail stores.

What is it priced at? The idea seems great, the only factor I can see which could possible deter shops is the price.

    Good luck with it

Do have any links to your product and what is the price?

Also retailers will only take it on if it has some sort of proven success so you have to focus on getting it into one store and making sure that the store sells it well. i.e pay for merchandising stands for that one store ect...

I'v heard of people even buying back there own stock just to get a good repetation.

    Stubird,

Perhaps you are talking to the wrong department of the stores? When you seek out the big boys-look for the "product procurement" or "buyer department" Normally, you'd want to talk to an admin of that company and have put you through the right department who does the purchasing of new products for the company.

They might ask you for the sample of the product-make sure you send one packaged along with a press kit or presentation kit. This should contain a fact sheet, pricing, warranties, delivery, upc coded, contact information etc.

I hope you have all these ready before you make the connection in the company. It shows that you are ready to supply them with a great product.
