    Exclamation new buisness idea

I recently thought of a new business idea, although I am unsure on what first steps to take, including raising capitol and securing the idea as my own. My idea happens to be in the business arena, in which I have no prior experience.

Ok, here's the bad news. Ideas are a dime a dozen. VC's don't buy ideas. They don't even buy business plans. What they do buy is teams and a good chance of securing a large enough piece of a large enough market to make it worth their while.

If you have no prior experience in the business arena, then it isn't really possible for you to judge whether the business idea is even marketable and profitable. If you are concerned about "giving away" your idea, you can always find someone willing to sign a CDA and discuss the idea with. Also, you can consult with the SBA, who may be able to help evaluate the idea.

All this though is academic, unless you have a team with the necessary experience, or serious collateral, no financier will take a second look at you.

no meaningful answers because you haven't asked meaningful questions

The "Oh My God" was for the "Wut", not the question.

isnt this already happeneing. Your talking about opening up an advertising company, and you want to use cell phones and text messaging as your specialty medium for reaching an audience. I feel like there is nothing unique here and this idea already exists. It is a task that any advertising agency could handle and are currently handling.

Since im little afraid to invest a lot of money. I try to involved in business that don't cost me a lot of investment. Moreover, to find a unique business idea i always try to find a problem around my environment and then by providing the solution, you will find opportunity for doing business.

True. This idea solves the problem of how can we get information to the customer more efficiently than TV and e-mail. However, this idea isnt a business model rather a technique implemented by many companies marketing departments. The only opportunity I see here is some type of consulting company that helps create custom commercials and text message advertising campaigns; with no experience in business this might be tough.

It sounds like you are in the very early stages of learning the business world. I'd suggest searching google for a start up guide or start up basics, or go browse the local bookstore to see what you can find.
