Hey everybody,
I have been working with a unique muralist from Franklin, Ohio named Eric Henn (see WELCOME TO ERIC HENN MURALS). I manufacture, market and sell a limited home furnishings line and thought that the addition of fine art prints could create a generous revenue stream, and open up new distribution channels.
I basically have unlimited use of his likenesses and would like to find some ideas on how to market him effectively, what kind of products may or may not be a good fit for this type of art (i.e. obviously I was thinking greeting cards, puzzles, calendars), and how to generate relevant traffic to an ecommerce site (I am in the process of putting together a layout now).
His work is a bit challenging for me to market simply because i'm not used to the type of buyer involved, i guess. I have been trying to get a large scale mural book of his life work published, but can't seem to get a publisher to look at it, been talking to a couple different puzzle makers about image licensing, etc.... I'm basically handling the management of his brand and helping him get into retail ecommerce and wholesale marketing via trade shows or what not.
I know this has been a long post but if your still with me, any help would be appreciated. Thanks! -Tyler
