Making/creating an industry recognised qualifacation/certificate

Is there any formal process of doing this or is it all marketing and getting your name out ther. for example if i want to make an industry recognised sales training course/plan can I by building my way up and getting more and more people on board with the certificate so and and so forth.

I actually have no idea. I would ask this on Linkedin and I am fairly confident you will get a solid answer. You couldn't find anything on Google?

If there are comparable certificate programs, see if they are accredited with anyone, such as the BBB maybe?
