Smile Looking for feedback about my website

    Hi everybody
I've recently started a fairly successful mosaic tile distribution company. Most of my website visitors come in through sites like kijiji, craigslist, and google. We've had a fairly decent conversion to sales rate. However, I'd love some feedback from anyone that can offer some helpful advise as to what I could change or add to to the site to increase sales. Any feedback is appreciated!

    Thanks

Your site is beautiful. , aesthetically.
You should seriously consider have a shopping cart/checkout system. If your website hosting company does not have one built in, outsource a freelance script writer. The actual process of purchasing tiles from your website may seem too tedious to some. Internet surfers and shoppers are lazy, they want to just add their order to shopping cart, have your shopping cart system calculate total costs, and see everything on your page. They just want to know "how much will it cost?" and compare and purchase without the extra "work" of calling, writing things down, etc.

Plus a shopping cart system just seems more "high end" and professional.
Also, go over your pages and correct any grammatical errors eg - "Here is a few things" should be "Here are a few things" under Testimonials. There are a few more here and there.

    Smile Thanks a bunch!

To tell you the truth we had a shopping cart that was fully integrated with FedEx for shipping quotes and we found our sales dropped when we put it in. It could be just coincidence and we may have panicked before giving it a real chance. I am going to consider reinstalling it again though. I suppose the more options the better.

Thanks for pointing out the grammatical errors. We'll go over it today and see if we can catch them. Any ideas for content that should be on our front page? We're considering a revamp to include some hooks to get people excited.

    Thanks a bunch

Consider instead of having that static picture on the home page, have a gallery slideshow and include captions like "Imagine your bathroom like this" or similar - appeal to people's emotions.
Other captions can include "Get 20% off these _____ tiles when you order now!" or similar. Or if you have a discount card advertise that. You have to draw on the buyer's emotions and imagination.
You have your phone number there, why not include a map? - Options, options, options.
Bottom line - be a little more dynamic.

This is good feedback! Where we're having a challenge right now with photos is getting our customers to send us shots of their installs. When we do get them they're usually quite poor in quality. Our manufacturer is even worse! LOL They have great product, but zero photos of installs and their renderings look like a 12 year old did them. I think when we have 4 or 5 good shots we'll pull the trigger on this idea.

I like your suggestion for "Get 20% off these _____ tiles when you order now!". I think we need to have some sort of incentive besides the price. The tiles we sell regularly sell for almost 20/sq ft. Our price is half that. I think we could play this up a bit more indeed.

    Thanks again!
