Linking a DBA to an LLC

I have an website in which I established an LLC for in the state of Nevada. I now have an extension of this business in Florida which is an actual location retail and service based. Can I just form a DBA in Florida linking to my LLC in Nevada, or do I need to register another LLC in Florida?

When you go to register the business in Florida, you will need to provide the name of the entity that owns it. If that entity is your LLC then your LLC should be registered in Florida. I am not an expert on this, but that is my understanding.

I think it would be worth paying an attorney a couple hundred to make sure you get this done right.

Couldn't you register it is a foreign LLC? That way you would not need to start a new LLC but Florida would know the businesses is based out of Nevada.

I think you just register your site in Nevada and now you want to work in Florida, you can visit the authorities and correct your details with complete knowledge, Which is good in the law eyes too.

    Hello Friends,
I agree that it all depends on your situation. I'm involved in a few different start-ups and I personally like to keep them separate. Now, if I have say a real estate company that does multiple things like property management, sales, leasing, maintenance, etc... and I wanted to DBA each division, that's a perfect fit...for me.
    Thanks
