IT outsource business market segment

Hi, I'm going to set up a IT outsrouce business, not software though, it's network solution, servers and maintainence, I'm going to target middle size and small businesses, what market segment should I target ?
Can some give me any experience in this industry ?

Mostly, we targets small business - medium sized. Of course, you must knowledgeable about the internet, depending on your business on which it concentrates.

I run a small IT outsourcing business with 2 clients.

From what I see in your post, you want to do IT outsourcing but donot know where to go. Actually, you should start vice-versa. Try to get a client or two, and then take it from there....whether you want to go wide (across all industries) or narrow (specialize in a particular industry), which is up to you to decide..But first you got to have a client or two to keep the business moving...

@Allysa, that's why I though, I'm going to target middle size and small companies, then it is differentiation , not nich marketing, right ? would you mind to share some experience please ?

our company focuses on services like webmaster, graphic designer, link builder and writers. If they hire for a webmaster, we only provide them webmaster works like seo and so on. The most important thing is the way you handle traffic, maintain their website and market it to their target customers. If your client is a middle size company, of course you expect that their target market is much "bigger" than small-sized business companies. Also, you expect that there's lot of work to do especially if they have different services to provide.
