Question Is this legally considered a business?

I had a cool idea for a web service, and I'm wondering if I would need to legally state that I am running a sole proprietorship. The site would generate revenue through ads - both Google AdSense and some special cases where people might wish to pay to get noticed.

I should mention that I'm 16 years old, so it's probably not possible to legally own a business at my age in the first place. So, since it's advertisement-based, and I'm under 18 year of age, should I just skip the whole legal registration and write up a disclaimer and terms of use?

    Thanks

There is no law that states you are too young to own your own business however, because of your age you will need the assistance of one or both of your parents.

Lisa thank you for your insight.

Could you answer a question which was posted in another thread?

Is a minor able to incorporate with NO adult cosigner/ assistance?

    Thank you in advance.

To own a business legally you should be upper than 18 so you can wait for the 2 years.
