Importing to US

Hey, I noticed someone else posted something similar to this, however they are in australia and I am in US. . .what I am looking for is info on importing to the US from China or Japan. Does anyone know where I can find info on the laws/procedures or any info. . .also if there is anyone currently doing this that may benefit from bringing more products at once or would just feel good about helping someone from making the same mistakes you did upon startup please shoot me some info. . .i've been searching but everything seems to be dead links and scams.

hmm. . .this forum doesn't seem to be very helpfull. . .i've noticed that not many people post to help people. it seems like most of anything posted on here is someone trying to promoet themselves/their current business. It could just be me though
