I want to sell a software in India which is made in USA. But i Am confused about the following points. Please do help.

What is the legal formalities I need to follow which would make this sales enitrely legal ?
Only acquiring IEC number would be enough or is there anything else that I need to acquire.
Should I be registering a company for same
