    Help Finding Video Game Distributors?

I recently helped Co-Found a company with a few friends in Phoenix, AZ. We have everything ready to go--our paperwork, our bank account, our website (especially our website!! haha)--but we're missing the most important thing.

We can't find a solid video game distributor for the life of us. We've heard from other people that it's possible to find one who can get them for us for around $10... but online we just can't find them. From what I've been coming to understand recently is that this is because the information is restricted from the web, and that a personal contact is necessary.

Does anyone here have the ability to get me in contact with any video game distributors? We've worked really hard so far, and this is the last thing that we're waiting on.

Does anyone else have any experience with video game distributors?

A video game. Like, for Playstation or Xbox or Wii kind of thing.

The only video game you're going to get for 10 is an old PS2 or original Xbox game. Is that what you're looking for? Current gen games sell to the wholesaler for roughly $30-40. Then they sell them for $45-$55. Video game profit margins for retailers are extremely small sometimes less than $2.

Also, most wholesalers require a minimum order. Usually over $1,000 for video games but depends on what you're ordering.

That is true. The margins are indeed very slim on new games. And that's why Gamestop's business model is not truly based on new game/hardware sales, but on used games. Sadly, there is probably no real distribution network for those used items--perhaps WTB ads on Craigslist.

Along the Craigslist lines, there are often VG services offered for unlocking devices or installing homebrew, which may be a direction that you want to pursue.
