Exports: is this a good idea, help please

Hi I live in Zimbabwe and next month I'm considering entering the import/export trade through finding exporters and prospective exporters online (eg from US) and selling their products (from retail goods to anything) on commission in the Southern Africa or Zimbabwe for a start, is this a good idea? If it is can you give me tips and advice or additions and alterations please, I'm prepared to register the company and website next week

Anything from retail to furniture to anything competition by suppliers is low but demand is high there are few brands to choose from and they are overpriced so i want to bring in different products and sell them at reasonable prices and sell them fast all need i are the goods and consider them sold I'll also help with the marketing of the products

The idea is to provide a link for overseas producers to pentrate and expand their product(s) into Africa therefor products can range from phones,clothing,retail,furniture,radio and tv sets and anything including new products but excluding agricultural produce instead i'l export these eg cotton and tobbacco, i'l also provide marketing if neccessary

I'm a founder of a successful corporate cleaning company but i think this might be bigger due to low self-sufficiency & high demand,thats why i need your help
