    eBuisness without own computer

    Hello,

I currently live in a small studio apartment so i dont have much space for an ebuisness plus my computer just got hosed. I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers on how to get off the ground.

I was planning on doing dropshipping or webhosting.

    Any Ideas?

Whenever you run a home business, you would want to have your own computer. Reason being is that depending on the type of work you plan to do, you want to save documents and that kind of stuff on the computer. I am in the process of trying to get a PC Repair Business going that would involve working out of the home. Refer to this post as to how I want to get my business started. And believe me, it takes a lot of work to just get a business going. A lot of what I want to do would involve the use of my computer. Also, basic computers aren't that expensive now a days, so hopefully, one is affordable for you.

I would really recommend you to get your own computer right away, you will not work effective and produce results running between IT-cafes and such.

You would rather have a computer that is going to be very reliable for you. I wouldn't recommend computers that are anymore than 4 years old now a days to do all of your biz stuff on.

My computer is from 2002 and I do most of my business on it and even play games on it(world of warcraft). I only upgraded it once and that was just a stick of ram.

I would suggest a computer with Windows XP or an up to date Linux version(free) and atleast 256 ram and atleast a 1.2ghz processor.

You should be able to find one in the paper or garage sales for $75 or less.

My laptop specs are 1.2 processor, 512 ram, XP and it cost me $520.

    Oh, also buy an HP/compaq

There is no way you can be a viable drop ship opportunist without your own computer. What happens when one of your suppliers needs you to arrange for a different shipping method because UPS is having serious delays? You're going to use the Yellow Pages and a cell phone?

Today - you can get a decent desktop for $200 or a decent laptop for $300. It's WELL WORTH the money.

You can't depend on internet cafes and external sources - because they are not going to suit their hours and network security based on your needs.
