    do i need liability insurance?

hey everyone, got a question. i am starting a side company where i fabricate items out of metals and woods. i am wondering if i need some sort of general liability insurance to cover my products in case someone discovers some sort of way to hurt themselves with my product. i am not selling any services or anything just merchandise that i design and make by hand. any advice would be much appreciated.

    Hi Fabricator,

This is a tough question to answer being that we don't know what these products do. For example, do people operate these things? Can it decapitate a limb or make someone lose an eye? Or is it harmless because its a decorative item?

Just some questions to ask but just to be sure on things-you might want to run this with an insurance agent and they can qualify your products and such.

    Goodluck!
