I am in the process of starting a business (501c3) but do not have the money yet to establish the legal entity. I have friends who have their own corporations who have expressed a willingness to help. A business consultant suggested that I consider the possibility of operating as a DBA through an already established company. What would be the advantages and disadvantages of DBA for me and for the current company owner?
