    Lightbulb Clothing Line Business Plan

I choose to start my own Apparel & Sports wear company within next one year. I have been thinking over the same for quite a few years. Now, I want to seriously look at the A&SW business. Would request the members if they can help me find a business plan template.

For instance, I would need the process of writing a biz-plan. I think that the value of a business plan is not in the final document, but in what we learn about our own self and the idea while making it.

    TY !!

    What's Up Ty

Are you fimiliar with the parts that make up a business plan? This is the key in my opinion. I would suggest sitting and writting out a full 1 page Executive Summary. This is were everthing that will be said in the plan is summed up. Then take that and add all the other parts with detail. Also keep in mind, continue to update and improve the plan.

Here is a site with a free template of a business plan for Breeze technology for shoes. It provides you with information on all of the parts plus examples of financials. Hope this helps

I also have a clothing line. I can send you a censored copy of my plan if you like.

The Canadian fashion incubator sells a template I like. It's the only one I know of that's any good. I'll hedge that by saying also that -few people realize this- but what you really need is a project plan first. With the project plan, you create a business plan. And of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that you should read my book first .

I go by this phrase, Try to sell the brand. Not the clothes.

    Own clothing label

    Mike63,

This is CSFLLC and I'm in my development stage of the business of starting a fashion label. My company has a business plan, but I was wondering, did you fund your own company or did you get a grant/loan?

I used to run a business called Kerosin Clothing for 3 years. It was super solid but we always had trouble keeping track of inventory. I learned to code and built this to help everyone out called Inventorian (google it, can't link) Let me know how I can make it better for us

A skilled business operator does not just dive in head first in untested waters. Experience is an essential factor in running a clothing boutique. While having an interest in fashion is an advantage, it is not enough to get you ahead of your competition. You need to have knowledge and experience to keep your business running smoothly. You can attend merchandising classes to prepare you in facing the many challenges ahead. It would also help immensely if you have had job experiences in the past relating to retail that enables you to develop a keen business sense.
