    Exclamation Can enterprise be taught?

    Hey,

Am currently looking at whether enterprise can be taught.

Academics claim that analysing entrepreneurship can result in improved innovotion.

Entrepreneurs ofter claim that this is wrong and that enterprise can't be taught.

What are your views on this?

Any good journal articles supporting either side?

    Cheers,

    All signs point to yes.

    Matt,
I would say that leadership, entrepreneurship and strategy can be taught but character cannot. Some characters are drawn to the freedom of running/owning a business and some think that the big companies provide security. I know I was one of them. Security is and always will be an illusion - but it is a powerful one. I just posted a thread that will hopefully help teach some people a few good principles. http://youngentrepreneur.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=6671 I guess the bottom line is that countries that focus on education have many businesses and those that do not always need volunteers to help do something. It’s the old teach a man to fish thing.
