I would like to know the best way to "register and identify" a business entity-type.

Scenario:

- business is sole proprietor (SP) acting as an independent contractor (IC)
- SP has no plans to hire employees in the future, SP will use other ICs if necessary
- SP only do work for licensed attorneys and not to the general public
- SP will use a domain name to convey business type/services

1.) Should SP apply for "dba" only an not as an SP entity if using real name?
2.) If SP register domain name as SP's company name with the county, would an "assumed name" be necessary?
