I think you need to be careful when it comes to automation.

Only a few business models work well with automation.
My business is relatively automated. When I was a student, I sometimes would be gone without a trace for weeks and my head IT guy would run it...
But, the "stress" or "head space" needed was always there.

There's only one way to automate the business:
    Get someone to manage it...
Grow it to a size big enough that you can get competent people to manage it. Or, find organized college graduates who need experience to work for a low rate for 1 year, sort of like a coop. Get them to send you daily accountability email reports.

I emphasize organized because I've found that's the number 1 trait I needed to find. (It's a big challenge to find an IT guy who is organized.)

    Hi Millionaire,

Looking more at your post, you do web hosting things... I will give you less of a cop-outish answer!

Try using billing systems for the web hosting industry, like ModernBill. That will do automated signups, domain searches and the such.

[B]For non-hosting companies, you can also try FreshBooks. They do online billing and will even send paper mail.

For server management, the best company I've used is:
    Total Server Solutions . com

Those guys are the only server management company I've met who actually does what they say they do. I think they also provide support on a per-ticket basis.

There is a heck of a lot of work involved in automating a business. Also, you can try Ubersmith instead of ModernBill. It looks much better.

You want to automate your marketing? That doesn't really make sense.

Marketing is a dynamic, ever-changing part of your business that requires constant checking, analyzing and modification. I don't really see how this could be automated.

Well, first of all, there's no such thing really as complete automation... Because all machines and computers and humans fail or need some grease work here and there.

So, in terms of automated marketing I'd say Google CPC and DMworks.ca (or the American equivalent. It's automated direct mail.) or just getting services that leave voicemails is actually effective for some door-to-door type region-based businesses.
It's not "automated"... You can lose a lot in CPC if you aren't on top of things and mail ads stink in terms of ROI. In fact, I'm sorry I recommended them.

    BUT compare it to:
    - Getting a cold caller, managing them, providing resources.
    - Going to trade shows.
    - Haggling big partnerships.

So, in comparison, it is automated.
