Assistance Please...Small Business BIG PLANS

I have a business name established and registered in my county;

Do the databases of business names provided by the county clerk include only that which is in said county or across the US?


Our primary focus, at the moment, is clothing;

My ultimate plan is to have several different types of businesses under the same registered name. Are there any special steps that need to be taken to protect myself since I am not JUST a clothing company?


Resell/Wholesale License;

I understand that the wholesale license will give me the opportunity to purchase bulk amounts of product at wholesale price with no tax. Since, I feel I do not have an adequate amount of knowledge reagarding legal issues and plan on selling goods (which I read, I would have to charge the consumer tax), would it be in my best interest to hire a CPA or is this sort of thing that one can DIY?


Anyone have reccommendations on where to get a corp. Logo designed? I have been one to many times on getting a logo created which is not up to par.

Everything but the logo I would suggest you ask an accountant or local business centre.

I'm pretty sure you can setup one company, have multiple companies/businesses under that umbrella and be able to keep them as separate entities.

You can create a logo yourself or maybe trying something like: http://www.sitepoint.com/marketplace...?categoryid=15 ... can get a pro logo for about $100

on the subject of multiple businesses/companies... would i have to register each business if it has a different name? how about if I add a word to my current company name IICONZ? (ie IICONZ RED).
