Are there ways to import to import products……?

I'm working on setting up an import company that distributes products to retail based businesses as well as to companies that give away products to customers. Is there a way for me to import products from factories overseas to the states, without paying for the order until the goods reach my customer?

Any tips, advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi!!

That's a really Good question!!!. Most of these companies rely on the payment first so they can proccess the order. For example it happens to me when I went to alibaba.com looking for letter size paper for a friend of mine that he gave me this assigment. I found a couple of leads but in the reality it was hard for me to trust to someone at the other end a lot of cash that even wasn't mine!!. I would say that they should do a way to escrow with both ends will agree on it. I will be looking more here to your answer to see if someone will come up with a good idea. But this is a one great question!!

Take care and hope to hear from you soon

In essence, you would be acting as a trading agent for your customers. You wouldn't necessarily be a distributor.

You would basically be the person selling goods who uses an overseas drop shipper. There are other more qualified people on this site who can help you with that.

But also, you will find it difficult for a supplier to agree to ship before payment. Imagine yourself as the supplier, you wouldn't want to absorb all that risk would you? "You want me to ship my product halfway around the world to someone I don't know? And now you want me to do it ALL BEFORE YOU PAY ME?! What are you smokin'? "

Trust will need to be built before you get to that point.

There's lots of useful information out there that can help you with this information. Alibaba.com is a good place to start.

    Good luck

I also should have prefaced my comments with:
"I am sure there's more to your situation than what you stated in your post, please expond on your desires (and questions) so we can be more precise in our comments. Otherwise..."
