Any tips/advice would help- how do I launch a product line?

Im new to all this business thing and to be honest I dont know where to start! I consider myself to be business-minded but with this Im having a hard time finding the best way to go about this, any help/advice anyone would help would be great. I have a product line Id like to get going (gift/home decor type products marketed towards younger and older women) and I have all these ideas and designs that Ive done for the products, (designs I have drawn and done with photoshop) but I don't know whats the next step? my ideal destiny for my "brand" would be for it to be sold at retail stores nationwide(gift shops/dept stores/etc). Anyways, I heard about setting up a booth at a trade show, but would I have to have these products already manufactured? Would the attendees want to place orders right then and there? Or what about a licensing firm? I dont know, I only have these ideas and concept designs, I would need to have someone make them professionally. Hi there,

1) In relation to the booth, I would advise you to have at least 1 sample of each of your products on show as it will allow buyer to view and examine the product.

Also, make sure you have leaflets and business cards to distribute as you would aim to make as many contacts as possible.

2) Also, I would advise you to create a professional website whereas you can show off all of you products to potential buyers.

Overall, I think it is essential that you get samples of your products made as you need to know that they are okay and that you are happy with the manufacturer. I would not move on without having this completed.
