Go for it! Start small... maybe use the old lawn mower to mow lawns? I started a DJ business when I was 18... made enough to all my living expenses all during college. It's never too early to get started. Just try to stay out of debt!

im leaning more towards website an eBusiness. something online. the thing is finding people that will dedicate time to the job. i've 'found' people who say they will, but never do, and i'm sure that no one older will want to work with me since i am just starting out.

If you are targeting the online world then people dont need to know how old you are. There are lots of opportunities and you dont need to invest a lot of money, so I say just go for it. If you fail once or twice, or even 10 times, just see it as opportunities to learn

HOW YOUNG IS TOO YOUNG To Start a BUSINESS

    Good question,

From my experience, the sooner you start, the more successful you will be. Most successful entrepreneurs have several failures before the hit the big one, so the sooner you start the sooner you get those failures behind you and the sooner success will be yours.

As with life, so too is the same true in business, it is a learning experience, but don't let age get in the way of your desire to be a business owner. I commend you for even knowing what you want in life at your age, most kids I know are clueless, so good for you.

    Success to all, Mike

I started at 14. there is no age limit for entrepreneurship. aside from a few odd jobs in high school (grocery store, go kart track, UPS, etc) I have never had a job in my adult life. entrepreneurship is a lifestyle and my passion. you can make it yours too.

Just take it..As many success stories, age is not a matter in the starting of a business.
As I see it, if you have sprit and idea. just have a shoot. why not?
young is meaningful for your life, you have time to learn the experience from your business no matter it will going to be sucess or not. on the other hand, you have the chance to be the youngest success person in the world.

If you are asking the question then yes you are too young. You'll know when you are ready.

I personally just turned 18 about a week ago and i am working with my business partner on a e-commerce venture which we believe has a huge potential. You can never say you lack knowledge cause of age, because as you grow you earn your knowledge. If you are dedicated and determined, that is all you need. Remember always have confidence and present yourself in the biggest and best way you can

I agree with rogercbyran - with a twist - if you have to ask, you are too inexperienced. I would suggest you find a mentor or join a group like FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) at your local high school. Lay a solid foundation and build on it.
