Advise needed to improve current position

Hi guys,

I am working in this local copy center in melb, aust for about 3 years now.. i have been working there part time for 2 years and i was recently employed full time for about 6 mnths now. Our business is mostly A4 - A0 color printing, binding, framing, t-shirt prints and many more. Our selling point is that we are able to provide prints fast and to offer the best customer service. It usually takes 1 - 2 days.
Now i am sort of acting manager when my operations manager is away..

My kind employers has given me an opportunity to go out and bring back sales.

I have no experience with this method of sales. I haven't done this before. The only sales experience i have is customers walking into the center and asking me for service.

They suggested me to do cold calling. I am sure this is the bare minimum

Any advise on where to start?

In an easy way to think, you need to think who would like to print something?

Now it's X'Mas season, I'm sure many retail business out there are looking for opportunities to expand their sales.

Go around and see if there are businesses around you that don't usually hand out flyers, you might set a pre-designed (just a fairly simple one) flyer and bring that to businesses' owners/managers to see if they are gonna be interested. You can also design a "X'mas season package" to attract them.
