Advice on setting up a contract/structure w a partner as we create a business?

My business partner and I are in the very beginning stages of building our business right now. We are creating an ecommerce site selling certain products. Neither of us have experience in creating a partnership etc. I will be providing mainly financial backing and he will be doing the majority of the ground work, working with the suppliers and marketing etc.
We really have no idea as to how to structure the business, what % ownership we should each get etc, as it is totally his idea and dream but it mainly all my money etc. We are also friends and so want to ensure that we set this up properly in the beginning so we maintain that friendship.
We really have minimal experience in something like this, so any sort of input from yall is much appreciated.

The best advice I can give is make sure everything is writing all the time. Avoids many conflicts and makes you think about issues you may not otherwise ha e.
