Advice needed badly

Hi I have just launched my website anmd we are using a website optisizer but they tell me that Google are charging them $1.40 a click which doesn't sound right. I have a $500.00 a month budget but at $1.40 a click my website is only up there for about 2 hours a day. They guarantee to get it on the right side of the page and on the first page when someone types in mineral makeup.I am in Australia . my company is called barekiss Mineral Cosmetics Anyway I set up my own ad words campaign, but how do I get my link up there? Is there a secret? I am lost at this, if you could help I would appreciate it. Thanks

In adwords what country have you got your campaign aimed at the whole world or just Australia ???

It depends on your keywords that you are focusing in on.

Also, the ads will only show up as long as your daily budget hasn't been spent...
