accounting and finance ideas?

Quickly, what is my situation: I am a full-time student. I already hold a B.A. major in Business which I graduated from two years ago. After teaching English in China (ESL), I returned home and decided to go back to school. Instead of a MBA, I chose to change my degree from "general business" where I did as much accounting and finance as I did marketing and human resources courses, to a double concentration in Finance and accounting. That means within the next two years, I will do just about all the finance and accounting courses the university will offer, which will qualify me for both being an accountant and an analyst.

Having that said, I need money. I have time for about 25 hours of part-time work, and would prefer a business-related job - especially accounting or finance over washing dishes at the local restaurant or whatever else.

I am looking for feasible ideas of part-time work related to finance or accounting within a medium size North-American city. Example of ideas I had but know nothing about are: Does anyone know how best to get a paying bookeeping job for local entrepreneurs? Or for small businesses? Or part-time assistant to accountants (is there such a thing?)

I don't see how hard it is to get a part time bookeeping gig at some chop shop
