    A Shopping Mecca

Ok, so I am planning on building a huge strip mall, complete with a hotel condo and a NPF (softball) stadium. And later on add a hotel casino. I know the location and rough layouts, but need some advoce/help on how to proceed. Right now, I am 18 and about to graduate HS. I am going to college and majoring in ENT. and Hotel/Rest management, so there's no immediate rush. But I plan to begin construction in like 2009. Any help on strip malls, condos.hotels would be much appreciated. Thanks

I think this may be the wrong place for this question. Your talkin 100s of millions. i am blown away this is what you are planning for your first business venture. Especially with no experience. How are you financing a project like this?

I never said it was my first venture. But hey, Trump took risks and look where he's at. Plus, if you are doing something, go ahead and do it big. You only live once.

Yes sorry for assuming, I only did b/c of your age. Trumps dad was a real estate man so it isn't like Donald started compeltely on his own. Donald also graduated from Wharton, a school ranked higher than Harvard business depending on the year. So I guess the real question is where are you getting funding for this? If this is a US idea it will cost on the cheap side at least 100 million. I'm not trying to bash you it just isnt adding up, you don't make moves like this right out of college unless you have money in the family, or massive connections like a daddy in the real estate biz (Donald).

Well confidence is half the battle. The problem now is finding someone to fork over the millions to get you started. Why not start small and maybe buy an apartment building or rent out some form of property. You can get some experience and a relative idea of what you are getting yourself into. What regioin of the country are you planning on?

    Hey, Go for it.

you need to design a business plan that will invite others with the experience you lack. 1) Build a team

you need to decide what role you are going to play, and what part you will gladly give up. 2) delagate

you need to research the amount of funding you need to raise. 3) capital amount

you need only then to decide on who you plan to invite into this project. 4) anchor businesses

I have a friend who build a tourist destination when he was only fresh out of college. He did this by getting large companies involved, they anchored the deal. He spent only 300K for a project that totaled 48M, all by doing just what I have given you.

Good venturing and pass the na sayers on your road to the top.
