    Unhappy 800 Numbers (Unlimited)

I am starting to sell on ebay alittle more heavily now and want to be able to have an 800 number. I know this is going to sound cheap of me but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get an 800 number for a cheap monthly payment but one that provides unlimited calling.

I have been searching and the cheapest out there is $49.95 a month for unlimited calling. Does anyone know of anything cheaper and reliable. If not I will go with the above quoted price but maybe someone on here might be able to help me out.

    Thanks!

$49.95 for unlimited? I'm not sure how much call time you think you need, but there are places out there where you can get 100 minutes for $10 and then $.049 per min after. You can also grow and add minutes to your plan as you need them. You should take a realistic look at how many minutes you are going to use.

When selling on eBay you may also want to consider having your buyers communicate only electronically. You want to make sure to answer questions is writing to avoid miscommunication. I’m speaking from experience. You can find that you say one thing on the phone and your buyer hears something totally different. This can lead to problems. Your buyers will also get frustrated if you are not always there to answer your phone. If you are not going to be selling on eBay as your only fulltime job I would keep the 1-800 number idea on the side burner for now.

I agree with the above statement. I think if you are selling from ebay you should keep it all on ebay or email.

There will not be many people that call your 800 number for your products on ebay. If you set up your own store with through your website that would be a different story.

People like ebay because its easy and they can be lazy and not have to deal with people.

I agree with the above. Although toll free numbers can be very useful, especially in dealing on eBay, electronic communcation is becoming the preferred method of business communication. I would consider the benefits of a toll free number before shelling out that kind of money for one.

Everyone thank you for your time and insight and I am going to take that advise. Just use the email for now, if it happens to hopefully grow to where I need a 800 number then I will look into it then but for now I'll keep the expenses to a minimum.

Thank you guys I appreciate all the help!
