    Would this be illegal?

If I opened up a retail store selling replicas? and if it is illegal, how would I get around that?

It depends on what kind of replicas...

If you plan on selling replica D&G or Coach purses: don't. These companies are beginning to get tough and suing people like crazy.

Getting around it would be even more difficult because you can't. Unless, however, it's a knock-off and not an exact replica (i.e., it's "GB" instead of "LV" for Louis Vuitton).

    I hope this helps. =]

Yes it is illegal. Law enforcement likes to believe you can't get around the law. You can certainly try though.

    Hi Andrew

you may find a legal way - but is it moral?

How would you feel in 10 years if you had a great brand name and someone else cashed in on it making you poorer by the day.

Morals and making money mix like oil and water. Just ask big business and politicians.
