My husband wants to start his own company in swimming pool construction business, I want to start my own internet business. I'm not gonna sell anything, just advertise as an affiliate and plan to start this business as a Sole Proprietorship. The biggest problem is, that we don't know where to start. Of course, first of all we want everything to be legal, but what kind of licences permits do we need, what kind of paper do we need to file, how should we do our taxes, I tryed to do research online, but there is no exact list of everything we'll need and irs site is so confusing, they just keep sending you from one page to another but there is no exact answer. Please, help! I'm so confused, it's all so new to me!!!!
