Question Startup LLC: Name reservation & operating agreement.

    Hello,

Looking to start an LLC in Ohio....3 quick questions:

    1) Do I need to file a "name reservation" form first, or can I just directly file the LLC articles of organisation? (Assuming I see that the name I want is available from the Secretery Of State's website)

    2) Do I need to file the "member operating agreement" anywhere?

    3) Where can I find a suitable membership operating agreement? (For Ohio)

    Thank you

    Hi afowler,

You can go ahead and file your LLC directly with the State of Ohio. Ohio does not "require" you to have a member operating agreement but it is advised.
