My question is, can you pay the newspaper delivery man instead of paying the newspaper company?

If Company XYZ is offering a service, sure it might want to reward those who spread the news about it. Heck they could even do a 100% commission if they wanted to, but my question is whether they can legally have the money paid directly to the upline or whether it would have to go through the company.

Any one got any thoughts on this?
