Question about starting a discussion forum

I'm going to add a discussion forum to my site, Home - DrinkUpDc.com, so users can review bars, add pictures, post upcoming events, etc.

My question is - Can a restaurant or bar hold me responsible for bad reviews or things other people say on my discussion forum? What legal steps do I need to take in order to protect myself from this sort of situation? Thanks

You 100% can NOT get in trouble for reviews. I am positive. As long as you, the site administrator, isn't promoting anything illegal or stealing their copywritten logos or anything like that..

Not necessarily true. Have an attorney put together your terms of use and inform you of legal issues.

I promise you that you won't ever be held responsible for a bad review as long as you have one of those "the reviews on this website are not the views of us, blah, blah, blah...."

Even if you didn't have one of those, you still can't be held responsible. Better to be safe than sorry though.
