Potential B2B Partnership
Hello,
I am working with a software developer company in Montreal, Canada for about 2 months now. There is a chance to form a partnership (I'm in the U.S.). If the partnership goes through, I will incorporate and begin my business. I rely on them to build a viable product which I utilize for potential clients. Currently, I have defined a business model (in its first draft), emailed it to them and marked it "confidential." Next week, we will be talking about the business model and hopefully they will agree on it so I can move forward.
It seems to me I am over my head and would not know what questions to ask when it comes to legal matters. For example on how to protect myself and what questions to ask when hiring a reputable lawyer/attorney so I won't get ripped off my meager startup cash.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
