I had an incredibly good idea for a business, and I checked google's patent search, and actually found a patent that was kind of similar to my idea. From what I can tell, no one is actually doing this business, and it looks like this was a holding company, although I'm not sure.
Would this prevent me from doing my business?
How can someone even patent a business model? Wouldn't Wal-mart be able to sue every other store for the idea of "putting items on shelves"? Should I look into getting a patent that more specifically covers my own business model, and highlights the differences between my idea and this patent? Would it even be worth it, since I am tight on finances as it is?![]()
