New to this so fellow entrepreneurs please help

Hi, Im Kendra

I've chosen to start my own business but I have little support and I need all that I can get. I plan to start a small retail business. I need to know how to start and where to start I've been searching and I just need the correct guide to the how to start up question... I'm going to apply for a small business grant and a small business credit card.. Okay so are funds my first step or is the legal work done first Like licensing and premits. Please just help me and please inform me with how to start...

You are probably not going to get a lot of responses due to the general nature of your question. I suggest reading and searching this forum in an attempt to narrow your inquiry. Once you have a specific question regarding a specific area of buisness, more people will probably be able to help you.

Hi Kendra,

First off welcome, and I hope you find this site informative. In regards to your request; sure there are tips and suggestions and "tricks of the trade" that posters here can help you with, and we are all very happy to do so. However, what we need is not a general overview but rather detailed and well thought out plans so that it is not a back and forth 21 questions but rather an informative, well researched, lean set of questions and queries that the many members here can address quickly and help steer you in the right direction.

Alot about doing the entrepreneur thing is that you will find much help from those who know where you are coming from, however they will know and appreciate the value of having to push through the tough situations and do a lot of leg work on your own so you learn for the future and also know your own business better.

So, search around the forums, pinpoint some crucial and well constructed areas you need help with and I am sure many people on here will be happy to help!
