Medical Marijuana Dispensary can one get in trobule if they open one?

When federal government raid these places, what happneds to the owner?

I plan on opening one, will one get in a lot of trouble if federal raid them?

Is it worth the hassle to open one?

I heard they make a lot of money compare to the investment one makes in it/

    What state are you in?
If you want to be rich, sell products and services.
If you want to be insanely rich, create and control markets.

It's certainly legal in many states and counties but they still get raided by the federal government... it's kind of dumb - and I'm not sure what happens to the operators.

Overall it's a messy business and I wouldn't recommend you get involved. When you're dealing with drugs and the police remember that the police can be just as crooked as anyone else. And if they want to screw you, they will - regardless of whether you've broken any laws or not.

Then the county of Oakland is the best place for something like this.

If you are smart enough to get on the internet and use forums to discuss business ideas, I feel you should be smart enough to know not to mess with drugs. Unless you are med student and are planning on opening a pharmacy. But trying to find out how to legally sell weed sounds a bit iffy to me. Good luck regardless.

Why are you guys labeling this as just a 'drug.' There are certainly two sides to research into marijuana (with its legality certainly questionable), and there are instances where it serves as the best possible solution to certain conditions and diseases. Either way, this forum doesn't exist to argue over this.

To the OP, a lot of dispensaries are getting raided in California today by the FEDs. It is certainly completely legal to operate it in the state, but the feds don't think so. Use google news to search some recent happenings regarding this matter. Recently a guy in Central Cali got arrested and is on trial for 85 YEARS (more than a murder charge)..

In my opinion, it is it a bit risky right now to operate one.

You realize there's a difference between state law and federal law, right?
