Making a business out of selling notes

Hey everyone, I just had a question. I've been a pretty solid high school student and taken some pretty good notes throughout my career. All my textbook notes are typed and I was thinking about selling them. Any comments on the legality of this?

No legal issues AFAIK as long as your not selling your professors written notes.

However I know schools have rarely gone after students at the academic honestly/integrity level for selling notes/tests. But at the high school level, I doubt you will have a problem.

nothing that is semi-illegal will ever result in problems if you keep it a small scale production.. For example, do some research on the internet about websites that tried to be the middleman for selling college notes.. they all got sued and threats from the colleges.. However, at my college one of the book stores sells notes and does a ton of business just in one town, they have been around for years and there doesn't seem to be any legal issues

I would look into more research on other companies doing the same before going big with the idea such as NoteHall, who i believe is sweeping this idea

If you are copying exactly what your professor was saying, he or se could sue you for copyright violation.

If it's word-for-word, then technically yes. But you'll get way more engaged traffic by selling study guides from review sessions.

My roommate was selling his class notes. I'm sure your professor wouldn't be too pleased if he found out, but I don't think theres anything he could do about it. Just keep it on the down-low and you should be fine.

I would reckon it to be totally legal.
