    LLC with LLC as members

Was wondering since an LLC with non USA residents is exempt from taxes as I understand only when its formed with a single non-US resident,

if such an LLC could be a member of another multi-member LLC?

Would the LLC member being taxed from the multi-member LLC pass-through to the single member LLC with no double taxations?

I am asking this due to the above only applies restrictively to a single member LLC.

Will then the foreign individual will be taxed in their home country alone?

Realize that possibly no formal advise could be given here, but just curious if what I am considering could be right?

    Om
