    Underwriting

I do residential mortgages. In my field of expertise underwriting is a term used to define the process of performing an overview of the entire transaction/file to determine the risk associated with it.

Loans are financial vehicles that are bought and sold. Consideration may be given as to whether or not your peticuliar package can be sold to another entity after it's originated.

Underwriting is a practice used to estimate risk and eligibility for financial transactions. It's possible to use debt without the practice of underwriting -- but it's not a good idea, normally. I'm not sure whether YOU can do it though.

I'm not talking about using debt without underwriting. I'm talking about using debit transactions without underwriting. Does anyone underwrite a check you use connected to your checking account?
