Arrow buried treasure, how to protect your knowledge

    Hey everybody,

I have a different sort of question. I believe i know where there is( or was ) a considerable amount of buried treasure. (spanish conquistadors) How do I protect my knowledge of the whereabouts when i talk to the landowner. If i just say "i think there is buried gold or your land" he may kick me off and find it himself (or laugh in my face)

Any ideas as to how to protect my knowledge and to approach the landowner would be greatly appreciated,

    Jake Russell

Usually its split 50/50,when we go metal detecting in the UK if the find is of any value we split it so.A mate of mine found a hoard of 5 Celtic gold torc's about 18 months ago its final value was about $700,000 and he and the farmer go half each.If the landowner wont let you on his land you cannot do anything about.

I think you're the first person on here to ask about finding buried treasure. While I don't know anything about the specific topic, I do know that anything that may be on the property of an individual, whether it's buried in the ground or whatever, is their property. They can choose to not let you look for it and they can choose to not give you any piece of it. I would say draw up a contract between you and the property owner.
