hi...ummm, well, for a user gen adult site i think that all which is required is a basic TOS, DMCA notice and a 18 USC 2257 statement...these things are pretty elementary to draft (just rip off someone else's!), but if you wanna get the lawyers involved, go for gold, although it's not necessary

I don't know much about the laws and such, but i do know that you need to keep a record of all the girls that are shown on your website.
I guess you need a copy of their ID.

Thing is I won't be one posting any of content; would I still be require to keep age disclosure documents. Or if I allow Professionals to post their movies would I have to have something in the terms and conditions that they have documents necessary to verify the ages of the girls/guys they're filming before allowing them to upload their media?

It would be a good idea, particularly if you make any legal statements on your site. For instance, you might want to adopt a formal way to say that you're 18 USC 2257 compliant. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have the attorney let you know how you need to keep that information anyway.

It would be reckless to start an adult site without seeing a lawyer first.

    Adult Website

I agree Terry and not only because I work for a law firm that specializes in business (internet) start ups and adult entertainment.

Just recently, the 2257 laws changed again and the requirements for the producers, etc., to keep these records have changed as well.

The firm I work for is now also offering to retain these documents for Adult Entertainment companies (for a fee of course). It makes life a little bit easier for those needing this service when they come in to check records.

Not consulting with an attorney first could definitely be a mistake.

Hey there, I have been in the adult industry for 10 years. If any of your questions haven't been answered, feel free to contact me.

First of all, you never said what type of what you're running. So people cannot answer your question accurately without knowing that. You only need documents of the girls on your website if youre producing it yourself. You haven't said anything regarding shooting your own girls. There are affiliate programs that buy the rights to content, which would get their proper paperwork in the trade. User submitted sites (tube sites) can get away with alot more right now. You would not need all the required documents for them, as of right now if it's a user submitted website. Do these people uploading the videos work for you?

More details please, you weren't very specific.
