If you have pictures on your site you are considered a producer. Whether you purchase your content or shoot on your own you are still required to maintain the legal documents for 2257 and they must still be "managed" between regular working hours. Considering most of these sites are smaller sites, the producers more than likely have full time jobs as well, which is why when taken into consideration the DOC allowed room for a third party to maintian the records.

I realize this is an older post however, something Pseudomymous stated just caught my eye.

Your statement "you only need documents of the girls on your webiste if your producing it yourself" is incorrect unless I am reading what you are trying to say incorrectly myself.

It is a popular misconception that only the female "models/actors" need to have their information 2257 compliant. This is incorrect. All models, male and female need to be compliant. Also, you need not only be a primary producer (shooting your own content). A secondary producer is someone who purchases content and then places it on their website. The producer you purchased this content from is required to give you the required model information and as a secondary producer you are required to maintain those records per the Department of Justice regulations.

If you have any questions, our office offers an Adult Guide to those just starting out in the business. Please PM me or check out our website at www dot informationlaw dot com.

    Best Wishes.

    Absolutely !
what is required is a basic TOS, DMCA notice and a 18 USC 2257 statement...
And of course a privacy policy:

    No adult links please
