Is there a simple marketing strategy to get youtube numbers up WITHOUT resorting to paying SPAMMERS?

Like any other marketing strategy you need to put in a nice amount of work in order to start seeing progress. If you have a product or service that you are offering, then you want to promote it by showing what you have to offer. If you are providing a service then you can dispense advice to future clients via your You Tube channel. You want to engage with others as well, just like you would if you had a blog. You also want to get it out there so that people will see it. Attaching it to all your social network channels will help you spread it out. Respond to comments, so that your viewers will get to know you better.

I would suggest to focus on a 1 or 2 videos and do some SEO.

Youtube video are very easy to SEO because Youtube already get a lot of traffic for example 1 video I made I was one the front page of Google in about 2 weeks I only put about 2 hours of work into it.

It was also a very competitive keyword about 24,000,000.

Once in a while you can get a SLAM DUNK and one of your video may turn viral so make sure you have connected it to all the social media site.

One of my video went viral in 10 min I had 4,000 people watch my video since I connected it to Twitter / Facebook after it was upload it got sent to Twitter / Facebook someone shared it to their network they did the same and in 10 min I had 4,000 views.

What video was this? Can you share the link.

I did some SEO work on a Youtube video, but it failed to get many views. What counts the most these days in getting highly ranked?

Make sure all your videos have really good tags / titles / descriptions

Although there is little quality in exchanges if you want quantity or just to boost your numbers use a free view exchange

Also show it off in as many laces as you can think of and example would be on something like Squidoo page

Now that we played around with the SEO a bit.. it just takes a bit of patience.
Keep optimizing and putting your video places where it get's views. After a certain view threshold (5,000 - 10,000) the views will come naturally itself. People really don't want to click on a video with 500 views, as they think it's lousy or bad.

Views = Prestige
